Yikes.....I'm NERVOUS!! I baked an apple praline pie for the bake sale today at school and one of the teachers jumped me in the hallway to buy it......well, not that dramatic, but she was very enthusiastic. She bought the same pie last year and LOVED it. I just hope it's perfect. I don't think any pieces of hair fell in it, I think the dough is fully cooked.....I hope there is a proper sweetness to it.....etc......etc......

I'm sure it's fine, but I hate making things for others without tasting it first, LOL.

Thanks for the kind words, readers. I was having a bad couple of days, but I seem to be back to normal now.

I have gotten SO sidetracks from routines around here. First it was when Johnny had the chicken pox, then the next week the kids had off two days, then Steph had the chickenpox (btw, it's been 2 weeks from her breakout, so I "think" Tommy might have had a vaccine shot that actually worked, LOL, or his vaccine wasn't as old as theirs)

I need to get back and go food shopping, with a planned list, 1x a week, and to plan our meals, etc.. I also got to get my rear in gear and start getting these gifts that my children want for Christmas. We are the only one buying them gifts this year, as we all discussed that they just have TOO much stuff, and the new things that they get they never play with, so.....we sent an email out to family stating that the kids would really appreciate money for summer camps much more than toys. Of course, it was a much wordier email, thanking them for their generousity over the years, blah, blah, blah and they seem to have accepted the idea.

Usually our kids start camp in 3rd grade and have to pick one, but now they are excited that they can go to two, or possibly more, and Tommy can even go 2 years before the others did. They are just daycamps for horseback, basketball, baseball, etc......but it's what my kids really like.

And, of course, we finally get to give them most of what they ask for, without farming out the presents and them being disappointed on Christmas Day when they wonder why they didn't get their most asked for thing, until they realize that Santa left it at Grandma's house...etc.....

Johnny has really taken charge with getting the other two psyched for Santa. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Steph still believes. John would too, if it wasn't for him saying something silly about the tooth fairy, when my husband took it upon himself to let him know the tooth fairy was us. So, when I told them to get crackin' with their wish lists, the lightbulb went off in his head.

So, anyway.....I blogged today, look at that, LOL.....gotta go get my coupons ready for the a.m.

Ciao

Oh, yeah, so anyway Ann, LOL.....

We came in 3rd in our District. Our American team came in first, so it was actually better that we lost twice to the 2nd place team, so we didn't have to face our fellow town players and friends. Our American team won the Sectionals and then came in 3rd, I think in States.

We've been really busy with all 3 kids playing soccer, and all 3 kids in scouts. John was playing rec and travel soccer, so he has really improved with the knowledge of the game, and his skills ain't bad either, LOL

I guess I am just sort of "blah" about blogging, but let's give it a shot, LOL

I've become very frustrated trying to network my laptop and desktop, but I am hoping when my sister's boyfriend comes over at some point between now and January, he can get us all set up. The main reason I was hot on doing this, was so that I could burn my photos before "something" happens and my burner didn't seem to be working. After many emails and finally a phone conversation, it appears my 2.5 yr old burner can no longer read CD-RWs (blank or with data) for whatever reason, and since I want to burn onto that type of disc, it appears I am out of luck. Hmm...didn't think of trying a CD-R for the time being.....

I'm also dreading the holidays as my father's (who is ALWAYS on my mind) memory and sickness has me in an "angry" stage. I don't think I've ever been angry about his death yet, and maybe this is just a natural progression, but I'm REALLY getting pissy whenever I think of what we are doing without him here with us. There has been way too many people that I know who have had people in their families die, in the last 3 months and they are all YOUNG people who should have been here for much longer.

Yeah, this is ending on a happy note......not

So.......um......other than that, things are going very well here and who knows.......maybe I'll surprise you with a post tomorrow, LOL
