How can it be that I come home from caroling in the neighborhood needing a valium and feeling like Scrooge?

How hard can it be to control your own children? If everyone did that, we would not have children running from house to house, like on Halloween, and singing before the good 4 yr old singers get to the house. UGH

I also came home a bit ticked, LOL. Our neighborhood is quite large and has 3 different style homes. I have gotten to the point where I hate to see what the inside of other houses look like. Pretty colors...remodeled rooms...additions, etc....

We bought this house 8 years ago, and the only way to make it to our liking is to demolish the inside and start anew.....They didn't prime any of the walls where they just painted on the sheetrock, so we have many areas peeling...and one little peel leads to a WHOLE BIG AREA if you just touch it. The other areas are all textured......walls, ceilings, hallways...... White paint all over...... The other area is olive green paneling. I think this is gonna be my new mission.....to try and figure out how we can accomplish this.

Dear House......can't believe that we are starting our 9th year in here with you today!! You've done us well, but we have aways to go...hoping to get you some new glasses this spring.

Dear Dad.......can it be 3 years already!! Hope that Heaven is treating you wonderfully and that you are enjoying your time up there, 'til we meet again! Continue to watch over us and keep us safe!

Here ya go Whitney.....

The ornament exchange was fun......there are always some really cool, different, exotic ornaments there. There were probably two duds, and my friend probably ended up with one of them. It was a lenox tree that lights up with batteries, but it was so boring that it really wasn't a great one to get, at all.

I received 5 sparkly snowman in this really cool box..... They're made of metal and I really should take a pic of them in the box.

All of the food was quite enjoyable too!

I've had this HORRIBLE sore throat that always gets better mid-day, but damn, when I'm sleeping and when I wake up......UGH...... It felt like my english muffin this morning was glass!

Watching the Survivor finale now.....hope it's a and not b.......we shall see shortly......they're voting now.

I'm getting nervous that it's gonna snow for John's work party......we're taking a boat around Manhattan, and I really don't want to be doing all this in yucky weather.....but we all know that the weather guys can't really predict what's gonna happen in a week, correctly, LOL.

Ah, yeah, so anyway......LOL

Since Thanksgiving my kids had been sick and I was going insane not being able to get stuff done, but thankfully that's all over, as they all were finally back to school today, as a whole.

I'm going to an ornament exchange party tomorrow......one of those that includes stealing, etc... so it should be fun to see what I end up with.

John's Santa again at his holiday brunch at work, so I hope to get a picture for cards. Which reminds me that I have to get a red top for Johnny, since I forgot to get one the other night. I wasn't going for red and black with the kids, but it just so happens that Tommy and Steph are in red tops and black pants, so.....might as well go with it.
