Ha!! Snagged from a message board I post on........

What Flavour Are You? I tashte like Alcohol.I tashte like Alcohol.

Heh. Heh. I taste like beer. I like beer. Buy me a beer. I'm not drunk, I can drink plenty without... What was I saying? Beer. What Flavour Are You?

.....and the misspelling of taste is in their code......I guess to be said with a slur, LOL

...so I ended up at the zoo after a hot shower helped my ear clear a tad.......however, I am no better right NOW than I was this morning when I posted, so I guess I'll check in with the doc tomorrow.

I am VERY annoyed by fellow parents. We got a letter home stating that we were to bring NO extra money, and to not purchase any souveneirs or other things (food/drink/ice cream/snack) for your children, as we would be all getting a choice of souveneirs upon our return home. I, along with probably 10% of the parents followed that rule. I am just appalled at the amount of people disregarding that request and getting stuff for their children, and also holding up the group at various times cuz people were buying things at different stations. That's just me though. I was also *loving* the fact that when children asked for something, and were told no, somehow ended up with said thing.

Our teacher had snack and drink for the ride home, but never passed it out.....I guess he was thinking that everyone broke the rules and didn't need snack or drink, but I should have spoke up and asked about the shopping bag full of Doritos that I carried onto the bus and were not distributed, but Steffi fell asleep and there was no need for me to be inquisitive.

But......the whole situation is STILL pissing me off, LOL.......as you can tell......

One year ago today, life through my family a curveball. This is the day my father was told that he had a mass on his pancreas :-(

My mom knew he was sick for 18 months, though, and kept telling me, "I wouldn't be surprised if they told him he had cancer". Unfortunately, we/they were thinking prostate or colon, so no one ever checked his abdomen. He just kept losing weight without trying, and his color was *off*, and, of course, the tests for the prostate and colon cancers came back good.

Looking back, she thinks they should have pushed for more tests, but why kick ourselves now?

Today, I was supposed to go with my daughter on a field trip into NY to the Bronx Zoo......due to my perforated eardrum, that hasn't really healed, and now it hurts behind my ear and down my neck, and the big week we having coming up, I think I have to bow out. She was disappointed, but at least she can still go.....just my luck :-(

Yeah, so I've been totally ignoring my blog as of late, but I see many of you haven't. Sorry 'bout that.

Lots of things keeping me busy; end of the Brownie year; Baseball; dance; Johnny's communion party; end of the year party for my Newcomer's Club, which I am hosting (someone hit me over the head and volunteered me, I think); my husband's family birthday party last week...etc......etc.....

You get the picture...

The other day I was cleaning my room and decided to read my high school yearbooks......why...because they are in there, and it would have prevented me from actually cleaning, LOL. Since that day, two of the friends that had signed the yearbook have sought me out and sent me emails.......how freaky is that!!!?? Anyway, one is in Washington, and the other is living in her parents house. Sad story there. She was living close to me, actually, and her mom was sick, so they decided to move in and help care for her. The day after the move, she died.....

I am planning on getting together with her soon, as it would be neat to catch up on the past 18 years. By the time the 20th reunion for school rolls around, we should all be going, as a big gang again, :-)

Steffi and John just had their 3rd quarter conferences.....all VG's in the academic section.....that is the highest rating in 1st and 2nd grade.....can't get much better than that. As smart as John is, Steffi is even beyond him. Her teacher, who was also John's last year, says she is just so beyond what other children are doing. He said she already has a spot in Learning Unlimited for next year!! I didn't tell her that of course, because she doesn't realize that she is that far ahead of everyone, and I'd like her to stay *on her level* attitudewise.

For that party that I am hosting on 6/1 (Newcomer's), I have been browsing at CDnow.com. I will type in 70's or 80's in the album title search and I am compiling a CD of all songs that were hits, or one hit wonders..... Having lots of fun doing that...... Black and White, Lion Sleeps Tonight and Shambala, sung by Three Dog Night; Little Willy; Buttercup; Playground in My Mind (all from the 70's)...any of those ring a bell?? From the 80's.....Video Killed the Radio Star, anything by the Outfield or Hooters; Culture Club songs......Then I grabbed some for my own listening pleasure...Pilot of the Airwaves, Leader of the Band, Ooh Child......

I hope everyone has the same tastes, that I do.....hehe

Okay, I think I fulfilled my blogging obligations.......have a good one!!
