ACK.......it's baseball season!! I just added the boys practices and such to my April Calendar, along with other exciting things going on and I just got a HUGE knot in my stomach!!

Crockpot take me away!!!!

For instance, next Thursday
10-12 Help Steph's class with papier-mache eggs
12:30-3pm Tommy goes to school
3pm p/u Tommy; go get other kids
3:25 arrive at kid's school
3:40 arrive home change Steffi into dance clothes
4-5 Steffi has dance
5:15 arrive home, eat dinner that must be ready and waiting
5:45 bring Tommy to practice
7:30-9pm attend Cub Scout leader's meeting

Trying to think of a good dinner already. I have some excellent dishes for these kind of days, just gotta really start planning my dinner menus

The Tuesday before it ain't much better
12:30-3pm Tommy goes to school
3pm p/u Tommy
4-5 kids arrive home......brief snack and off to
4:30-5:30 CCD (thank goodness we are doing this in the summer next year)
5:30 bring Johnny to practice (across town 20 min. away, so we'll be late)
7pm dinner (who the heck is gonna want to eat this late, and where do I fit homework in??)

I'm also very excited as the "class mom" part of my job description will have me "hopping" (no pun intended) in April.

Another one on the excitement meter, is a trip my husband has planned for the family in late April. Unfortunately, I also got notice that the International Luncheon for Steffi's class and the Mother's Day presentation for Tommy will be missed by the kids and I for this trip. I think I have enough "pull" to reschedule the luncheon, as it wasn't broadcasted to the other parents yet. However, the Mother's Day thing at Tommy's school, that I have on tape from the other two kids, and that made me cry, will definitely be missed :-(

As it stands now......kids off 4/18-4/27. Steffi returns to school for two normal days, and Johnny returns to school for the 3rd grade ESPA's and then 4/30-5/6 family vacation.......They are damn lucky kids, LOL

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of Tampax and proceeded to the check-out counter. The man at the counter asked the older boy, "Son, how old are you?" "Eight," the boy replied. The man continued, "Do you know how these are used?"

The boy replied, "Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They are for my brother, he's four. We saw on TV that if you use these you would be able to swim and ride a bike. He can't do either one.

We also had our ortho consults on Wednesday. Here is a copy of the email I sent to our uncle, who is an orthodontist in Boston

So we went for our ortho consults today.

I'll say that he was EXTREMELY nice.....I really liked him. He did tell me that he is a believer in one-time treatment and doesn't like to work in phases, but that's him.

Johnny has a bilateral cross-bite. For right now, we are going to wait until some permanent molars come in. He is in for a 6 mo. recall.

He also has a condition that occurs when he is swallowing that pushes out the front teeth, leaving a gap between the upper and lower teeth. Apparently, I have it slightly, but on the right side, and Steffi has it as well, but is not as apparent, as her front teeth are still coming in. (Central incisors, I think is the proper name...)

Anyway......the condition starts with an "m", but he suggested going to therapy for that to train the muscles to stop pushing against the back of the teeth and this way when ortho work is started that problem will be fixed.

Found the card....it is for myofunctional therapy.

They are supposed to go back for 6 mo. recalls. John may get work started then, Steffi is early, but he wants to keep an eye on her tongue thrusting.

And of course, John thinks the therapy is absolutely unnecessary, so I have to have a talk with him, as he always feels things are unnecessary and then I am the one who has to face the person/doctor/teacher and tell them that we chose not to go to get this problem fixed. I'm glad that I won out with Tommy's eyes, and I have been collecting a lot of information on the web about the tongue thing, so we shall see........

Whaddya know......blog a bit, leave the computer, and my sister-in-law had the babies......didn't even know she was in labor.

They weigh 4 lbs 5 oz. and 4 lbs 4 oz. and I "think" they are about 33 weeks gestation. Not in the incubator and just under the light. They were born around 9 pm EST. My inlaws were in AC, so they are heading up now, and I'm sure I'll get the facts tomorrow.
Dammit......I forgot to put up my shamrocks, and at this point, I better just make it an Easter background, LOL.
Yes, I understand that we are at war, but the coverage!!!! ARGH.......WTF is the point of the all news channels, if the other "main" stations are gonna broadcast 24/7 as well!!

That said.....I am praying that all of our men and women over there will get the job done and be home safe and sound very soon.

Ooh.....look at that NBC is finally broadcasting a show.....

What has gone on since early March, LOL.......

Let's see......the comedy show SUCKED ASS

Here is the email that I sent to the CEO of Rascal's

Looking back a month ago, I had the best intentions for planning a fun night out for the girls. We were going to see Darrell Hammond and ENJOY the night out. Somewhere in that month, the comic was changed to Tim Jones, for $15/person, and then by last week, it was Mike Epps for $25.

We figured, "who could go wrong". This comic's ticket price is higher than average, and "it's Rascal's, we're bound to have a great time".

We're we ever wrong. I'd have to say that last night's show was so non-entertaining. The lack of laughs from the audience, and Mike's own comments like "wow, you guys are really not liking my jokes" proves my point.

Mike seemed, at many times through the night, like he had NO idea where he was going and it was very obvious to those at our table and around us. We heard many comments during his perfomance and on the way out.

I was SEVERELY disappointed that the club felt that his ticket price should be higher than average, as well. I don't think I would be as upset if he was a $15 comic. I certainly don't feel like that perfomance last night commanded a $25 ticket price.

From your website....."Mike is truly one of the finest and funniest comedians working today." If this is true, that I might as well forget about laughing for the rest of my life. I enjoy comedy shows, Comedy Central, and other shows I've been to at your establishment. I really felt sorry for those who still had to come in for the 10:30 show.

I am sorry that I didn't cancel my night and go to the movies with the girls when we saw that Darrell Hammond was no longer playing......

I hope that if I ever come back to Rascal's that I will have a more positive experience.

Here is the reply I received from him......

Donna
I'm sorry that you did not have a good time with us and would like to offer you and your group
free tickets to another show. I hope you don't stop laughing because of one show, please pick
a show from our calendar and we will comp the tickets
hope to see you soon
thank you

I also want to mention that two of the other gals also sent similar letters to mine, and received similar responses, so in actuality, we have 18 tickets coming to us, LOL.

I wrote back to him requesting DL Hughley tickets, but surprise, surprise, I got his read receipt, but no reply. I didn't think we could get tickets for him, but hey, it was worth a shot. Now we are looking to go in early May to a comic that isn't listed on the site yet, but we "heard" he was gonna be there. I don't have too much faith in the Rascals booking people, as I always seem to see a "change" on their website.

The girls also want to go see Nine on broadway. We still haven't made it to see Chicago in the movies. Last time we tried, it was sold out in the two theaters that we went to, and ended up seeing About Schmidt

So......the next weekend was my sister-in-law's baby shower......I made it through with a smile on my face, but inside my stomach was churning, LOL The babies should be making their arrival within the next 3-6 weeks and they should be "okay". I was just a tad annoyed that no one told me she was registered. That's okay though, Steffi and I hit the Kohl's sale and got $134 worth of Carter's, Healthtex and LittleMe outfits for $32. Add that to the diapers and other misc. stuff I got her, and I ended up spending $100 anyway.

I am going to Rascal's Comedy Club tonight with my girlfriends. We were SUPPOSED to see Darrell Hammond, and as of YESTERDAY, I still see ads in the papers that he's gonna be there, but DAMMIT, they switched the comic and I just get all pissed off when I see that he "supposedly" was going to play there.

I'm sure we'll have a great time watching Mike Epps, but we planned this night with Darrell in mind. I guess it's hard to be on TV (SNL) at the same time that you are supposed to be playing a club.

We're also gonna hit T.G.I.Friday's for a quick appetizer meal and drinks before hand.......I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Whoops.....I forgot to blog the site that gives you your names meaning, LOL. Here ya go Jeanne......check it out!

I did my dad's name and it was so SCARILY accurate!! and Stephanie's too, even though she is only 7.
