So last night, the husband and I went to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra
First a word of advice......don't get floor seats unless you are in the first couple of rows. I couldn't see the band worth a squat, until the ANNOYING woman who was head banging to the music left with her young son, who was bored out of his mind, her husband, and her college age son and his girlfriend. This woman was my mom's age and I had to hold in my laughter from her head banging!!
I really enjoyed the show. My husband, not so much. Now I'm glad I don't take him to shows and concerts (and reunions). Not worth me feeling guilty for bringing him there.
At the end of the show, Greg Lake from Emerson, Lake and Palmer came on stage and they played (Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends.....). When their composer was first introducing him, I thought it was going to be Robert Palmer, because they definitely had the "Addicted to Love" back up singers, and I was envisioning it all. I was so wrong, LOL. By the way, Robert Palmer is NOT the Palmer of ELP, ;-) TSO also did a rendition of Layla in the middle of their show......I liked that too! I wish he (Lake) sang "I Believe in Father Christmas" too.
I think we would have had a much better experience if we could have seen the band playing. Oh well......
