73° today, 86° tomorrow, then back to the low 60°s with rain for the rest of the week. I'd better enjoy it while I can. Unfortunately, I have to be at an ice rink with Steffi for 4 hours today for a birthday party, grrrrr
The boys will be camping this weekend, so I hope the 30% chance of rain will be nil.
Baseball is over for John until 4/27. He will miss his game both Monday night and Saturday. He has to stay for at least 3 innings if he starts a game, and we can't guarantee that for Monday, as he also has a pack meeting for Cub Scouts, and is in a play. Saturday, he'll miss due to camping, but those are our only conflicts this season. He is bummed because his last two at-bats, he was 3 and 2 and the coach told him to take a pitch, and both pitches were strikes. He was angry, but at least he is listening to what the coach tells him to do. It's tough for him this year as a 10 year old playing with muscled 12 year olds, but he'll get there. Everyone said it would be a struggle this year, but he'd survive. He is also trying to coordinate his mind, body and everything by remembering to step out of the batter's box, look at the coach for a sign, process the sign and then execute. He's only had 3 games, so it'll come. All the parents keep assuring us, but it's so hard to see him so nervous.
I just realized it's only 2 weeks away until I go to the city to see Wicked. It seems like an eon ago when I ordered the tickets, and now the time has finally arrived. The city is gonna be crazy that day as there is a Revlon Run/Walk that morning but hopefully it'll be calm by the time we get there after the race.
Well, I better git going on breakfast and showering so I can make it to the ice rink on time :-)
Hope your weekend is just as beautiful today!!
